Senet boards have been found in the tombs of Pharaohs, indicating its cultural significance and importance. During the time of the Roman Empire, Backgammon was known as “Tabula” and was enjoyed by people of all social classes.

The Romans embraced the game and its popularity continued to flourish. Ancient Roman writings, such as those of the poet Ovid, mention Tabula and describe it as a game of skill and strategy.

Over time, Backgammon has evolved and the game's enduring appeal is a testament to its captivating playing strategy and the universal enjoyment it has brought to players throughout the centuries.
